Among the best organizations I've seen around the world, thanks to Carlos' impeccable supervision! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We didn't expect it to be, but it was ended up being a private tour (just myself and a friend). Our guide (Omar) was not only a very friendly and kind person, he was also extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Mayan history.
The beauty and magnitude of Tikal itself is hard to explain or capture. A visit is a must if you are in the area!
While the trip felt like it was on the expensive side, it was well worth the money. We would both do it again if we were ever in the area!

Tikal is amazing and I totally recommend it.
The only issue was the guide we had.
She was more focused in wildlife, wasting a lot of time looking for some hawk, any bird or trees present in tje park than tje ruins itself.
Tje worst part came when she jump over a forbidden area to show us an original monkment and she started to explain it by touching it to show us where the head of the warrior or the jaguar can be found.
Totally inadmissible to me.
Tikal amazing but Tikal go tours should care much more about the guides tjey hire to work with tourist.
She didn’t have enough experience and knoledge but also she didn’t respect the rules and damaged an ancient Mayan Estela.
Upon arrival at the airport, we were warmly greeted by our guide, Alex, and our driver, Lionel, who drove us in a very comfortable and well-maintained minivan. The tour itself was excellent—Alex was knowledgeable, engaging, and ensured we had an unforgettable experience exploring the incredible ruins of Tikal.
On the way back, they gave us the opportunity to explore the charming island town of Flores, which was a wonderful addition to our trip. Afterward, Tikal Go arranged for our transfer to the airport, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free.
We highly recommend Tikal Go for anyone looking for a well-organized and memorable visit to Tikal!

We highly recommend it.

We chose the extended tour and the hotel chosen for our stay in Flores was amazing! The tour guide we had was also fantastic. He was fluent in both Spanish and English and you could tell he had a deep passion for his work. Having a private tour allowed us to really appreciate this fascinating historical site and ask questions freely.
All said, the value of this tour package was incredible and I look forward to going with them again!!

Sunrise tour. They picked us up at our hotel in BZ helped us with the border crossing. We were in the park for several hours. Stayed the night in the jungle lodge and then my husband did the sunrise tour. They brought us back to our hotel. They made everything very easy.

Both the driver and guide were very sweet and good at what they did. We learned a lot of interesting things about Tikal and the Mayans, and the guide answered all our questions. One of us had a little too many questions and I would have liked it if there had been a bit more quiet, so that we could fully take in the sounds of the jungle, the trees, the animals, and a chance to take in the fact that we were in a stunning place that was built thousands of years ago. A place that is still it fully uncovered. It's like being in a proper Indiana Jones movie. Although Star Wars was filmed here. I did get a bit of actual silence when we went off the track. That was very nice.
After having been to Chichen Itzá the week before, I was not quite prepared for just how big Tikal was and the fact that it was a proper hike through the jungle. There's a lot of walking, very easy access if you keep to the made pathways. The walk up the temples is a bit strenuous. However, if you're prepared for it, it is absolutely amazing. So wear comfortable shoes. If you have asthma, bring an inhaler and just take it one step at a time. It is absolutely worth the effort.
The temples are so well preserved and absolutely stunning! The views from on top is breathtaking! I highly recommend you going up them. And I definitely recommend you going on a tour with a guide that can tell you about the place, instead of going on your own. And Tikal Go Tours is a very good option.
After the tour we had lunch in the jungle. They made an effort and made food that was catered to my dietary needs.
I highly recommend visiting Tikal on this tour.

EXCELLENT Based on 512 reviews Posted on Sara SVerified Dangerous Driving, Guide Lacking I would not recommend this company for your trip to Tikal. First and foremost, the worst part was the driver/drive. We met the company at the border and were then driven to Tikal. On the way there it felt scary and like we were flying, but we were not seated where we could see the speedometer. On the way back, though, I was seated where I could see the speedometer and on some parts we were going 100 kph and even up to 120 kph at points. The road is very curvy and bumpy, so this was scary. (The driver did slow down for bumps, but often just swerved around them onto the other side of the street). He also illegally passed vehicles when there was a solid line many times, often in scary conditions where there was a curve coming up so you could not see if cars were coming. I contacted TikaltoGo about this and was told the driver denied it and the guide said he couldn't be sure because he was engaging with my children. But, on the ride back, the guide was not engaging with my children at all and instead was talking to the driver the whole time. It bothers me this speeding was not acknowledged but instead turned into a he said/she said. The person who initially responded to my email did not then respond to my follow-up. In terms of the tour, it was just OK and felt rushed. We booked a private tour, meeting at the boarder. The guide was very friendly, but compared to other tours we took during our vacation, his historical knowledge was lacking. He told us he is a freelancer with this company--we're not sure if the guides who are fully employed by the company know more. We were not given much information about Tikal and the Mayans. We had to ask a lot of questions to get any information - our questions were informed by guides from other tours we took earlier in our trip. The guide did answer our questions for the most part. Again, the guide was very friendly and nice to our children, but for this price, we expected more. The tour was also very rushed, and it turned out we were an hour ahead of schedule (though maybe slightly less because we started early) but we were made to feel rushed and like we were behind. My children wanted to look at things on the jungle walks, with the 6 year old being a little slower, and the guide walked very fast not looking back. At one point I was out of sight with our 6 year old and felt scared, not sure which way to go, and called out. Again, for the price, it felt rushed without much information. We even had a 20 minute stop at the bathrooms and were STILL very ahead of schedule, so it bothers me we were made to feel rushed and I wonder what we missed. I did contact the company about this, and the follow-up I received was essentially denial with inaccurate information. I'd go with another company, especially given the price.Posted on Grunge BVerified Excellent Recommended to 100, passed to the airport by us, the bus well, in Tikal the excellent guide, lunch very well, recommend to 100Posted on Caitlin HVerified Amazing views and experience 👏 Had the most wonderful guide, Nathaniel. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the history. He also has eagle eyes for pointing out animals. We got to see so many. The ruins were absolutely beautiful. 10/10 would recommend 👌Posted on José Pablo DVerified Maravilloso Thank you to guide Melvin and his valuable interest in our well-being and making the experience wonderful. The TAG Airline is not very accomplished on schedule, but that is not Tikal Go’s fault.Posted on Ben HVerified Great tour Really great tour. No hassle and the tour guide was amazing covering so many different topics like the animals, astronomy and environmental aspects of the areaPosted on mibaba4Verified Tikal Private Tour/Excursion by TikalGo Our Tikal tour was amazing! We stayed for one night inside Tikal National Park at the Jungle Lodge Hotel. The hotel is very well equipped and very comfortable. The hotel has a swimming pool, wifi in the lobby. You have to be careful because the roads to the cabins are cobbled together. At night all the lights are completely dark, so I recommend carrying a light bulb or using the light of your cell phone if you need it. Electricity returns before 6 AM. The tour of Tikal lasts all day and I highly recommend it. Our guide was Roel and in my opinion he is the best guide we could have been given. Roel was friendly, very knowledgeable of his work and very patient and above all very punctual. We're very happy to have met him. Our driver was Antonio on the way to Tikal and another driver back, which I don't remember his name. Thank you TikalGo for a wonderful experience and for such good customer service!Posted on DarrenA569Verified Great tour, epic sunrise, great guide. Fantastic tour, Donald was a great guide, super funny and helpful. I am so glad that I did the sunrise tour, totally worth getting up early.Posted on Diana CVerified Excellent experience with a large company The plan went perfectly. We had transfers from the hotel to the airport, before sending us tickets, contact from previous days with the people who were going to be our guides. The guide in tikal used a lot of patience given that we were with a baby and the food inside tikal was excellent. The feedback I have is positive, everyone.Posted on Hernan OVerified Excellent and highly recommended agency to know Guatemala Everything going according to plan seems logical, but it is very difficult. In our case everything went much better than planned, we chose this agency only for its good comments, but we attest that they are excellent.Let’s start with Roman, with whom we designed the tour, always provided us with his knowledge so that the trip was the best. Then it was always pending while we were in Guatemala.Almost the best part of the trip, was our driver, Anibal, accompanied us much of the trip and always with a smile and willing to help us in everything, is extraordinary. We also do not forget Gustavo, our guide in Antigua and its surroundings, very careful with all the Mayan tradition. Alex in Tikal and nearby excursions, magnificent detecting animals and great knowledgeable of Mayan culture. Finally, highlight Modesto, our guide in Copán, a person who worked on all the reconstruction of the archaeological site, so he knew it as the courtyard of his house (his life story transforms him into a living treasure). Many others made the trip unforgettable, but this review would be very long, apologies. We visited Antigua (very nice) and nearby villages (too interesting, because it is to meet the Mayan culture head-on, which still lives and very strongly). The area of Lake Atitlan (must be one of the most beautiful lakes in the world); Tikal and several nearby sites (they are wonderful, more if combined with a sunset or sunrise). In short an excellent and wonderful trip, we returned in love with Guatemala, very interesting country and its people too friendly. Thank you Tikal Go for making us enjoy this trip so much.Posted on WZRVerified Bucket List Day in Tikal! Our day in Tikal with Omar and Abner was truly magical and a "bucket list" experience in every way. Abner picked us up from our hotel in San Ignacio Belize, drove us to the Guatemala border, and waited for us while we crossed from Belize to Guatemala. On the Guatemalan side of the border, our guide Omar joined us and we began the drive to Tikal park. On the way, Omar told us of the rich Mayan history and described what we'd see that day. As we got to know each other, we shared how much we loved nature and the beauty of the jungle. Omar began to add details about the flora and fauna we'd find in Tikal, in addition to the history of the Mayan people, and the great historic city itself. He told us about the history of archeology in the park, and shared photos he'd taken over the years of birds, the stars, and other natural phenomena. As we hiked through the park, Omar stopped to show us many of the species of birds found in the park, along with army ants, bullet ants, leafcutter ants, and more! We saw foxes, monkeys, agouti and coati. The ruins themselves are far more stunning than any photographs can do justice; we learned so much from Omar as we hiked from temple to temple, plaza to plaza. After a full day of exploration and a wonderful lunch in an open-air restaurant inside the park, we began the drive back to Belize. During the drive back, as we passed wetlands and jungle forests, Abner and Omar pointed out many species of birds for us, and enabled us to stop and spot them through our binoculars. They taught us about these birds and where and how they live, and gave us such a rich sense of the beauty of Central America. They both went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed every aspect of our trip to Tikal. Their pride in their country and heritage is palpable, and their knowledge of the land and its history brought the Mayans to life for us. We had an absolutely wonderful day.
