TIKAL + YAXHA 3 days 2 nights

Visit the most important Mayan sites in Guatemala: Tikal and Yaxhá. Come and learn about the culture, anthropology and archaeology of this beautiful country. Discover the secrets and ways of life of one of the most enigmatic civilizations in the history of mankind. Get to know the Island of Flores and its typical Caribbean architecture, the colors of the houses and the Lake Peten Itza.

ITINERARY

Day 1

We depart from La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City and after 1 hour by plane we will arrive at Mundo Maya International Airport in Flores where one of our Tikal Go partners will be waiting for you with a sign with our company logo.

After an hour and a half on the road we will arrive to Tikal, the city of voices where you will see the temple of the Great Jaguar, temple IV with its majestic view, temple 2 and the most hidden places of this incredible city. After lunch in Tikal National Park we will return to your hotel in Flores where you will spend the night.

NOTES: If you want we can add the Archaeological Site of Topoxté.  We could also do the Yaxhá Tour in the afternoon, this way you could admire its famous sunset.

Day 2

After enjoying your breakfast at your hotel in Flores, you will have half a morning free to explore

At 12 o’clock your Tikal Go guide will go to your hotel (if you want we can also have the whole day in Tikal adding the tour to Topoxté)

We will travel approximately two hours in our comfortable air-conditioned bus and arrive at Yaxhá National Park.

Before the sunset tour we will have lunch in a restaurant in the middle of the Petén jungle and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake.

Yaxhá is a contemporary city to Tikal, smaller but no less important, in your tour you will be able to visit the Central Plaza, the Ball Court, Temple 216, the Twin Pyramid Complex and you will be able to immerse yourself in the virgin jungle that surrounds it. After sunset we will return to Flores where you will spend the night.

Day 3

You will have breakfast at your hotel in Flores and can choose to return on the morning flight or relax all day and return to Guatemala City in the afternoon.

Up to 48 hours before the start date of the trip we will reschedule everything for free. If it is later we have a penalty of USD 115 for rescheduling.
