We will pick you up from La Aurora International Airport and take you on a scenic drive through Guatemala City, giving you a glimpse of our country’s capital from the comfort of the vehicle. Afterward, we will head towards La Antigua Guatemala, a journey that will take approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and begin your exploration of this historic City.

On the second day of our tour, we will start with a delightful breakfast before embarking on a captivating walking tour through the colonial city of Antigua. Prepare to be immersed in the rich history and charm of this incredible city as we visit its most significant historical sites. From ancient convents to the first Catholic churches in Guatemala and former government buildings that once housed the offices of Central America’s capital, there is so much to explore.

After lunch, we will venture towards the majestic Pacaya Volcano, one of Guatemala’s three active volcanoes. It will take us approximately an hour to reach the volcano from Antigua, and then we will embark on a thrilling 2-hour hike to its summit. As the day comes to an end, we will return to Antigua.

On the third day of our tour, we will embark on a captivating journey to the stunning Lake Atitlan. We will pick you up from your hotel in Antigua at 6:00 am and start a scenic 2.5-hour drive westward, heading towards the department of Sololá, renowned for its rich Mayan traditions and culture.

Our destination is the picturesque town of Panajachel, situated on the shores of Lake Atitlan. Here, a waiting boat will be ready to take us on a mesmerizing excursion to two of the most beautiful Mayan villages: San Juan and Santiago. During our five-hour tour, we will have the opportunity to explore the hidden gems and marvel at the incredible sights in each village and of course see the incredible views of the lake.

San Juan is known for its vibrant traditional art, including vibrant textiles, unique paintings, and intricate crafts. We will visit local cooperatives and workshops, where talented artisans will share their ancient techniques and showcase their remarkable creations.

In Santiago, we will delve deeper into the Mayan culture as we visit the village’s sacred sites and learn about its spiritual beliefs. We will have the privilege of meeting a Maya shaman and gain insights into their rituals and ancient practices. The beauty of Lake Atitlan, framed by majestic volcanoes, will provide a breathtaking backdrop throughout our journey.

After our unforgettable experience, we will return to Panajachel, where you will have some free time to explore the town, immerse yourself in the local ambiance, and perhaps find the perfect souvenir to commemorate your visit. As the day draws to a close, we will begin our return journey to Antigua, arriving in time for a delightful dinner.

On the fourth day, which may be the longest but most captivating, we will embark on a remarkable journey to the awe-inspiring archaeological site of Tikal. We will pick you up from your hotel in Antigua at 3:00 am and transport you to La Aurora International Airport, where we will board a flight to Flores/Tikal.

Upon arrival in Flores, our team will be waiting to accompany you to the iconic Tikal National Park. In this exclusive private tour, you will have the opportunity to explore the extraordinary Mayan structures that continue to astonish humanity. As you venture into the heart of this ancient civilization, you will be immersed in a pristine rainforest, teeming with a diverse array of wildlife thriving in their natural habitat.
