Embark on an adventure to visit the most breathtaking lake in the world, surrounded by volcanoes and small Mayan villages where you’ll immerse yourself in the traditions and customs of our ancient civilization.

We will pick you up at 5 am from your hotel in Guatemala City and embark on a scenic 3-hour drive to Panajachel. Along the way, we’ll make a stopover to grab a bite to eat and perhaps purchase some handcrafted souvenirs to take back home.

Upon arrival in Panajachel, our boat tour will commence, taking us to two charming villages: Santiago and San Juan.

In Santiago, we’ll wander through the streets and encounter the Mayan folk figure of Maximón or San Simon saint. You’ll have the opportunity to take photos with the beautiful elderly women of the village, explore the local church, and witness the fascinating blend of Catholicism and Mayan traditions.

We will then board the boat once again and set off for San Juan, a village known for its vibrant art scene. Marvel at the incredible murals adorning the walls and visit the women’s cooperative, where you can learn about the textile production process.

Afterward, we’ll return to Panajachel, where you’ll have free time to explore the town at your leisure before we head back to your hotel in Guatemala City.
