Yaxhá and its impressive sunset is one of the most visited places in Guatemala. If you come to know Tikal you can’t miss this smaller City but much wilder and less known. When we are ready to start the tour
we’ll go to Yaxhá where we’ll visit the main attractions of the City of Yaxhá which has a total of 237 square kilometers of area and is surrounded by the Yaxhá and Sacnab Lagoons. Evidence has been found on the place since the Classic Period from 250 to 600 AD, so the City of Yaxhá was contemporary to the City of Tikal with which they had alliances and links that our Tikal Go tour guide will explain to you with luxury details so that you understand the complex culture and traditions of the ancient civilization. You’ll visit the Astronomical Complex, the Avenue of the Pilgrims, the Complex of the Twin Pyramids and the Temple of the Red Hands, the most famous 216.
The City of Yaxhá is located in the middle of the Mayan Biosphere, so besides the history and the Mayan culture in the tour you’ll discover a lot about the flora and fauna that for years hid this treasure of humanity.
